PROVIDENCE, R.I. -
The Providence College men's and women's swimming and diving teams travelled to South Orange, N.J. on Saturday, Oct. 29 to take on the Seton Hall University Pirates. The Pirates topped the Friar women and men with scores of 162-126 and 179-83, respectively.
Junior Katherine Fallon (Warren, N.J.) was the first to touch the wall in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.90) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:12.30).
The Friars also saw their first action at the diving board, competing in the event for the first time this season. Junior Molly Anthony lead the way, placing first and second in the two 1-meter diving events.
On the men's side, Jonathan Batista (Southboro, Mass.) was able to earn a first place finish in the 200-yard IM (2:03.42) and a third place finish in the 200-yard backstroke (1:58.21).
The women of the Providence College Friars return to action as the take on the University of Rhode Island Rams in Providence, R.I. in the Taylor Natatorium. The meet is scheduled to take place on Friday, Nov. 4 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
