Coach Lopes stated after the match, "Road games are tough to win and even harder when you find yourselves down a couple goals. We struggled in the first half and found ourselves in a difficult position at halftime. The response was very good from a competitive standpoint in the second half and we made it interesting when we scored, but the equalizer never came. However, we didn't implement the ideas in either half so it will be important for us to learn from this game, grow from it and challenge ourselves to be better on Sunday."
The Friars are back in action on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1:00 p.m. in Providence, R.I. when they host Seton Hall.
