PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's hockey team fell to Hockey East opponent Boston University, 6-0. The Friars move to 5-11-0 (3-7-0 WHEA) while the Terriers improve to 13-7-1 (9-4-1 WHEA).
Madison Myers (Colchester, Vt.) started in net for the Friars and made 26 saves.
Boston University's Jordan Juron put the Terriers on the board at the 16:22 mark of the first period.
The Terriers scored twice in the second period. Sarah Lefort collected a power play goal just over three minutes into the period. Victoria Bach extended the Terrier lead to 3-0 six minutes later.
Bach notched a power play goal and her second of the night, with 17:23 remaining in the third period. Boston University scored their fifth and sixth goals within 10 seconds of each other and with just over two minutes remaining in the game. Lefort tallied her second goal of the night and Dakota Woodworth finalized the Terrier lead at 6-0.
The Friars are back in action at 7:00 p.m. on December 11. Providence will take on new Hockey East opponent, Merrimack, at Schneider Arena.
