Griffin Places Eighth At BIG EAST Diving Championships

VILLANOVA, PA. - Sophomore Lauren Griffin (Coatesville, Pa.) was the sole diver to represent Providence College at the BIG EAST Diving Championships. Griffin competed in the women's one meter diving event. She earned 194.30 points in the preliminary round and 173.80 in the finals. She had a combined score of 368.10 to finish eighth in the competition.
39 Friars will compete in the swimming portion of the BIG EAST Championships. The Championships will run from Wednesday, Feb. 19 through Saturday, Feb. 22. The events will be held at the Glouster County Institute of Technology in Sewell, N.J. starting at 10 a.m. each day.
