PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College women's soccer junior forward Catherine Zimmerman (Madison, N.J.) was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Northeast Second Team. For the 2014 season, Zimmerman led the Friars in shots (85), goals (11), assists (5) and points (27).
This year Zimmerman was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll five times. Zimmerman recorded her first career hat trick in a 3-2 overtime win against Butler on Oct. 12, tying for the most goals per game in the history of the program. Following her performance versus Butler, she was named to BIG EAST Weekly Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 13), College Sports Madness Player of the Week (Oct. 14), and Corvias ECAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 14).
In addition, Zimmerman was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team, the first player named in the history of the program.
