INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Providence College volleyball team fell, 3-0 (25-11, 25-10, 25-15), to Butler on Friday afternoon at the Hinkle Fieldhouse. Freshman Abbie Trzeciak (Cranberry Township, Pa.) recorded a team-high seven kills for the Friars. Providence now stands at 6-25 (2-15 BIG EAST) on the season while Butler improves to 19-10 (11-6 BIG EAST).

In addition to Trzeciak, sophomore Abigail Dix (Gibsonia, Pa.) and junior Nicole Fletcher (Syracuse, N.Y.) tallied five and three kills, respectively. Junior Jordan Wiesler (Coconut Creek, Fla.) finished the match with 20 assists while senior Kelly Ashmore (St. Louis, Mo.) registered a team-best 10 digs.

Kayla Bivins lead Butler with 11 kills while Stephanie Kranda contributed 10 kills. Makayla Ferguson recorded 32 assists while Jadyn Yarling led the defense with 15 kills.

The Friars plays in their last match of the 2014 season tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 22 at Xavier. The match is set to start at 7:00 p.m.
