Women's Cross Country To Compete At Wisconsin Adidas Invitational

Oct. 15, 2014 PROVIDENCE, R.I. -

The Providence College women's cross country team will compete at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational on Friday, Oct. 17 in Madison, Wis. The women will be up against 21 other nationally-ranked teams, including No. 2 Michigan State, No. 5 Arkansas, No. 6 Stanford, No. 8 Iowa State, No. 9 Florida State and No. 10 Virginia.



Leading the Friars will be sophomore Catarina Rocha (Peabody, Mass.) who finished 37th last year in this same race. Joining Rocha will be senior Julie Solimine (Haverhill, Mass.) and juniors Lauren Mullins (Binghamton, N.Y.), Katie Sischo (Jamesville, N.Y.) and Molly Keating (Rehoboth, Mass.).



Three freshmen will be stepping up to the line. Brianna Ilarda (Perth, Australia), Katie Lembo (Penfield, N.Y.) and Mackenzie Barry (Mendham, N.J.) will all compete on Friday.



The women's 6km race is scheduled to go off at 11:00 a.m. Live results will be available here.
