BOSTON, Mass. - The Providence College women's soccer team fell to Boston University, 1-0, on Sunday, Sept. 15th in Boston, Mass. With the loss the Friars move to 3-2-2 on the season.
Boston University took a 1-0 lead in the 42nd minute with a goal from Erica Kosienski.
The remainder of regulation was scoreless and the Terriers held their 1-0 lead until the final whistle.
The Friars were out shot, 17-4. In addition, the Terriers held the advantage in corners, 5-0.
Freshman keeper Kristyn Shea (Piscataway, N.J.) played all 90 minutes in goal and finished with six saves.
Providence returns to action on Friday, Sept. 20 when the Friars host Fordham in a 7:00 p.m. match-up in Providence, R.I.
