Mac Steeves Named BIG EAST Rookie Of The Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College men's soccer freshman forward Mac Steeves (Needham, Mass.) was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week, it was announced Monday, Oct. 28.

Steeves helped the Friars to a 2-1 victory over Villanova (10/23) when he assisted classmate Dom Machado's (Attleborough, Mass.) overtime game-winning goal. In addition, Steeves tallied his first goal as a Friar on Saturday, Oct. 26 in Providence's 2-1 loss at Xavier. He finished the week with three points on one goal and one assist, marking his first three collegiate points.

Providence returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 2 when the Friars host Butler. The game is scheduled to begin at noon and will be played at the turf field located at Ray Treacy Track in Providence, R.I.
