The Providence College women's tennis team was defeated by Georgetown in a neutral site matchup held in Connecticut on Friday, March 25. The Hoyas beat the Friars 6-0 in singles play. There were no doubles matches played.

In the meet, the Friars could not manage to get much of anything going. Senior Ayushi Sinha (Mumbai, India) was the only Friar to win a set for Providence. Sinha forced a third set in her No. 3 singles match, but would eventual succumb to Georgetown's Victoria Sekely, 6-0, 1-6, 6-0.

With the loss, the Friars fall to 0-4 in BIG EAST play and 2-9 overall. Georgetown is now 3-9 in the BIG EAST with a 6-8 mark overall.

The Friars are back in action on Tuesday, March 29, when they will host Sacred Heart. The match is set for a 2:30 p.m. warm-up time and a 3:00 p.m. start. The Friars will also host BIG EAST foe Connecticut on Wednesday, March 30. That meeting is set for 3:00 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the Providence College Tennis Courts.
