From the Desk of CoachKenoDavis.com

I want to thank you for receiving your free e-mail updates from http://www.coachkenodavis.com/ as we update the Providence College men's basketball season. Our most recent game, an 82-70 victory over the University of Alabama, has put our record at 10-2 as we head into final exam week. You can see the CoachKenoDavis.com play of the game at http://www.coachkenodavis.com/media.cfm. I look forward to update our website and mailings as the season progresses.

Thanks again and Go Friars!

This week's questions:

What are your thoughts regarding this year's non-conference schedule and plans for scheduling in the future?

I was pleased with the combination of tough competition and our ability to have a good home schedule. This schedule was especially important this year because of our young team and the demanding number of games. In the future we will look to play in an exempt tournament every year as I believe it will prepare us for the Big East schedule as well as help our national ranking.

With two student-athletes having signed in the fall what direction are you looking at in terms of recruiting?

We are excited about the current talent level and youth in our program. We are still recruiting for 2011 and of course for the years following, but believe we can be more selective with the progress that our team has made.

What do you expect from the Big East conference this season?

I don't put much stock in pre-season predictions as every year it seems as there are just as many surprises as accurate guesses. I would expect the difference between being a team that finishes in the top half of the Big East versus the bottom half to be as close as ever. The teams that stay healthy, and are able to execute late in games will have the best chance to surprise this season.

All the Best,

Coach Keno Davis
