Raul Orta had 18 points on 6-of-9 three-point shooting to lead St. Peter's, but he was held to six points in the second half. The Peacocks (3-9) have now dropped seven in a row.
The Friars jumped out an early 9-point lead, but a 20-6 run capped by an Akeem Gooding jumper put St. Peter's in front, 27-22, midway through the first half.
By halftime, St. Peter's edged ahead, 45-44, mostly on its 3-point shooting prowess (7-12).
