PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -Catherine Bove scored 31 points and Chelsea Marandola added 24, leading unranked Providence to a 106-94 double overtime upset over previously unbeaten Louisville on Wednesday night.

The 13th-ranked Cardinals (15-1, 1-1 Big East) entered the game as one of five undefeated Division I teams remaining in the nation. Maryland, North Carolina, Duke and Connecticut are the other four. Providence improved to 11-4 (2-0 Big East).

Prior to the loss, the Cardinals had allowed an average of 58.9 points per game.

Providence sealed the win with an 11-2 run to open the second overtime period.

Bove upped the Friars advantage to 13 points with just under 6 minutes remaining in regulation when she knocked down her second 3-pointer. But the Cardinals evened the game at 76-76 at the buzzer on a 3-pointer from freshman guard Brandie Raddie.

Bove, who finished with five 3-pointers, sent the game into a second OT when she connected on a 3-pointer in the final minute of the first overtime period.

In addition to Marandola and Bove, three Friars recorded double-digit points. The last time Providence defeated a nationally ranked team was during the 2001-2002 season when they topped 22nd-ranked Virginia Tech.

Providence gained a one-point lead at 34-33 heading into the intermission on Maradola's baseline runner with 6.6 seconds to go in the first half.

The Friars last scored 100 points during the 1998-99 season.
