PC then earned its second ever NCAA Tournament playoff berth, and first ever NCAA tournament victory by beating 13th ranked Hofstra University. However, their season came to an end when the team was defeated in the second round by the second ranked team in the NCAA tournament, the North Carolina Tar Heels.
