DAVIE, Fla. - DAVIE, Fla. - Over spring break, the Providence College tennis team dropped consecutive matches to fall to 8-4 on the season. PC first lost to two-time National Champion Broward Community College (6-1) before being shutout out by Division II's 22nd-ranked Knights of Nova Southeastern (7-0).
PC's only two match victories came by default against BCC and were awarded to freshman Katherine Lyons (Barrington, R.I.) at No. 6 singles and sophomore Andrea Lee (Cumberland, R.I.) and freshman Carly Hoffend (Pittsford, N.Y.) at No. 3 doubles.
The Friars return to action on Wednesday, March 16, when they travel to Connecticut for a 3:00 p.m. match against the 0-4 Huskies.
