PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Willnett Crockett scored 16 points, Ann Strother added 13 and No. 11 Connecticut limited Providence to six first-half points in a 71-24 victory Saturday night.

Connecticut (15-5, 8-1 Big East) shot 15-for-30 in the first half and led 40-6 at the break as Providence (1-19, 0-9) missed 23 of its 25 shots from the field.

Shauna Snyder led Providence with 11 points.
