PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team (4-18) knocked off Sacred Heart (4-13) by the score of 3-0, Wednesday evening at PC's Mullaney Gymnasium. Senior captains Allison Baker (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Annie Fiorvanti (Northport, N.Y.) each posted a double-double in the victory as PC won by scores of 30-27, 30-24 and 30-17.
Baker had a match-high 18 kills along with 10 digs to record a double-double while Fiorvanti had a match-high 30 assists and a team-best 16 digs.
Freshman Amanda Little (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) also had a solid night as well as she tallied 15 digs.
With the win, PC volleyball has now won three of its last six matches. The Friars return to action on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Lafayette at 7:00 p.m.
