HAMDEN, Conn. - In the win over QU, the Friars posted a season-high 65 kills including two individual double-doubles. Senior captain Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) totaled 18 kills and 12 digs, while classmate Gayle Malachowski (Warwick, R.I.) posted season-highs of 16 kills and 10 digs.

After losing the first game to the Bobcats (23-30), the Friars rebounded with their usual game two victory (30-26), and follow it up with a game three win (30-24). Game four was all about Quinnipiac as it used a 30-18 win to even it a 2-2. PC then edged out the Bobcats with a 15-13, game-five victory.

Sophomore Kerry Schulz (Fairfield, Conn.) played well in front of her hometown crowd as she tied her season-high with 15 kills. She also added five service aces and three digs, while junior Annie Fiorvanti (Northport, N.Y.) chipped in 11 digs and seven kills to go along with a match-high 39 assists. Senior Jennifer Backes (Seaford, N.Y.) recorded 11 digs as the libero for the Friars. Additionally, junior Allison Baker (Glastonbury, Conn.) recorded four kills and eight digs while freshman Sarah Fleming (St. Paul, Minn.) had four kills and a dig to round out the Providence scoresheet.
