Field Hockey Inks Fourth Recruit

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College field hockey coach Diane Madl announced on February 24 that student athlete Kiley Morgart has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Providence College in the fall of 2004. Morgart becomes the fourth player to sign a NLI to play for the Friar field hockey program since the signing period began on February 4th.

Morgart, a midfield/back from Mountain Top, Pa., served as co-captain for her team at Crestwood High School as a senior. Providence College head field hockey coach and former Olympian Diane Madl is a 1985 graduate of Crestwood and native of Mountain Top. In 2003, Morgart earned First-Team All-State and First-Team Wyoming Valley Conference honors. She also was named Wyoming Valley Conference Division AA Most Valuable Player and helped Crestwood earn the Pennsylvania AA District 2 Championship and Pennsylvania Division AA State Championship. Morgart was recognized for her work in the classroom, as well, and earned Pennsylvania State All-Scholastic Team honors. At Crestwood, Morgart was coached by Elvetta Gemski. She is the daughter of Doug and Andrea Morgart.
