Sonny Watrous was named HOCKEY EAST player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (October 26, 2004) -- Providence College sophomore forward Sonny Watrous (Albuquerque, N.M.) was named Women's HOCKEY EAST Player of the Week on October 25, 2004.

Watrous earned the honor for her strong offensive play in the Friars' two games last weekend versus Vermont. On Saturday, October 23 Watrous led Providence to a 2-1 victory as the lone scorer for the Friars. On Sunday, October 24 Watrous added another goal and two assists in Providence's dominant 5-0 victory. Watrous currently is tied for the team lead with eight points (four goals, four assists).

Providence continues home play on Saturday and Sunday, October 30-31 at PC's Schneider Arena versus the Princeton Tigers in Providence, R.I. at 2:00 p.m.
