Women's Ice Hockey Ranked No. 7 in National Polls

The Providence College women's ice hockey team is ranked seventh in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll and in the U.S. College Hockey Online Poll. The Friars tied No. 8 Brown, 4-4, on Tuesday, November 26 and Connecticut, 2-2, on Sunday, December 1, while defeating Quinnipiac, 7-1, on Saturday, November 30.

Harvard jumped to the No. 1 spot in both polls as they defeated No. 8 Brown, 3-2, and Connecticut, 5-1. Minnesota-Duluth climbed to the No. 2 spot as they defeated former No. 1 Minnesota twice over the weekend. Minnesota fell to No. 3. In the USA Today poll, St. Lawrence and New Hampshire moved up one spot to No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Dartmouth and Brown both dropped one spot to No. 5 and No. 8, respectively. In the UCSHO. com poll New Hampshire climbed two spots to No. 6 while Brown fell two spots to No. 8.

Providence hosts Boston College on Saturday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. and No. 1 Harvard on Sunday, December 8 at 4:00 p.m.
