The Providence College women's ice hockey team moved up one spot to No. 5 in the U.S. College Hockey Online Poll, while staying at No. 7 in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll. The Friars who were inactive this week watched as New Hampshire fell two and three spots in the USCHO.com and USA Today polls, respectively, with losses to No. 1 Harvard, 7-1, and No. 4 Dartmouth, 3-0.
Harvard, Minnesota-Duluth, and Minnesota stayed ranked No. 1, 2, 3, respectively in both polls. In the USA Today poll, St. Lawrence moved up two spots to No. 5 as Princeton fell to No.10 and Wisconsin and Mercyhurst climbed to No. 8 and No. 9, repectively. In the USCHO.com poll Princeton fell to No. 9 and Wisconsin climbed to No. 8, switching places from last week.
Providence's next game is on Friday, January 3 at Northeastern at 7:00 p.m.
