WASHINGTON, D.C. - Providence College was defeated by Georgetown, 3-0 (18-30, 15-30, 25-30), in a BIG EAST volleyball match on Sunday, Novemeber 10 at McDonough Gym in Washington, D.C.
The Friars drop to 2-27 overall and 0-11 in BIG EAST play with today's loss. Georgetown improves to 16-12 overall and 6-5 in conference matches.
Freshman Katie Fleming (Cary, N.C.) shined for the Friars as she recorded a double-double with 12 kills and a match-high 11 digs. Senior Sandy Fanning (E. Amherst, N.Y.) and sophomore Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) each had six kills for Providence.
Georgetown was led by Anna Kleinsorge. She recorded 15 kills on 22 attempts for a .682 hitting percentage.
The Friars return to action on Saturday, November 16 against St. John's at 2:00 p.m. in Mullaney Gymnasium.
