FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Providence College fell to Sacred Heart, 3-0 (30-25, 30-24, 33-31), in a non-conference volleyball match on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at the Pitt Center in Fairfield, Conn.
With the loss, the Friars drop to 2-21 on the season while Sacred Heart records their first victory of the year (1-19).
For the Friars, sophomore Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) notched a match-high 19 kills on 40 total attempts for a .250 hitting percentage. Freshman Katie Fleming (Cary, N.C.) had 10 kills and added 7 digs.
For the Pioneers, Lauren Lamb had 13 kills on 23 total attempts for a match-high .435 hitting percentage.
Providence returns to home action on Saturday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. against the Seton Hall Pirates.
