Women's Basketball Falls to Rhode Island, 53-46

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's basketball team fell to the University of Rhode Island, 53-46, during non-conference action at Alumni Hall on Tuesday, November 27, in Providence, R.I.
Graduate Student Dani Trippany (Massena, N.Y.) was the only Friar in double figures, as she registered a double-double, on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore forward Jenese Wilcox (Port Chester, N.Y.) added nine points for the Friars, who shot a dismal 25.5% (14-55) from the floor for the game.
Rhode Island, who shot 30.2% (16-53) from the floor, was led by Katie Stailing, who scored 15 points. Yatar Kuyateh also registered a double-double on the night, with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
The Friars fall to 3-2 on the season, while Rhode Island improves to 3-1. Providence travels to Brown University on Thursday, November 29 to face the Bears at 7:00 p.m.
