PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College field hockey team defeated Brown University on Wednesday, October 24 at Brown University.
PC's Maggie Hoffman (Southbury, Conn.) scored the game's first goal for the Friars (11-5 overall) with 27:44 remaining in the game. Junior Jen Chin (Norwood, Mass.) put PC ahead 3-0 with the next two goals of the game, coming with 11:30 and 8:49 remaining in the contest.
Brown's Lauren LaRochelle got the Bears on the scoreboard, scoring with just 31 seconds remaining in the second half.
Sophomore Kelly Romanowicz (Shrewsbury, Mass.) scored the final goal of the contest, with 29 second remaining.
Sophomore goaltender Meaghan Moran (Framingham, Mass.) recorded five saves in the victory while Brown's keeper, Katie Noe, made seven saves.
The Friars return to action on Sunday, October 28 when they host Maine at 12 noon at PC's Hendricken Field.
