RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Providence volleyball team won their second consecutive match, defeating Manhattan College on Wednesday, October 17, in five games.
The Friars (6-15 overall) beat a MAAC school for the second straight night after beating Iona College on Tuesday, October 16 in New Rochelle, N.Y. Providence freshman middle blocker Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) totalled a game-high 24 kills and added 15 digs and three blocks. Teammate Annie Cella (Burr Ridge, Ill.) and Sarah Katinger (Stratford, Conn.) added 17 and 15 kills, respectively in the Friars win.
Providence has the weekend off from BIG EAST Conference action and plays next on Tuesday, October 23 when they face UMass Amherst at 6:00 p.m. in Amherst, Mass.
