Providence, R.I. -- Providence College sophomore Kim Mathias (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) was named ECAC/Franklin Player of the Week on March 6, 2000.
Versus Boston College, on March 3, the sophomore forward recorded a hat trick in the team's 4-2 victory, at Kelley Rink. On March 4, the Friars upset fifth-ranked Dartmouth, 5-4, Mathias netted one goal and added three assists.
For the season Mathias has registered 17 goal and 31 assists, in 32 games for the Friars. The squad will return to action on March 11, at Dartmouth, in the ECAC Quarterfinals.
Mathias, a graduate of Shenendehowa High School, is the daughter of Daniel and Joan Mathias.
