Field Hockey Drops Two Games at Husky Classic

STORRS, CT - At the Husky Classic in Storrs, CT, the Friars fell to Kent State, 3-2 after falling behind in the first half, 2-0. Senior Erica Hebert and junior Jamie Lerch each scored and assisted on the other's goal. Senior goalie Andrea Weyl recorded seven saves between the posts.

In the second game of the Classic, the Friars fell to William & Mary, 3-0. Weyl tallied 10 saves in the game.

The Friars are 0-3 on the season after dropping their season home opener to UNH, 3-2.

Providence will host the University of Connecticut on Saturday, September 11.
