Rick Bush Earns All-Academic Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Providence College senior Rick Bush (Clifton Park, N.Y.) has earned 1998 Men's NCAA Division 1 All-Academic Cross Country Team honors.
Bush, an education major with a 3.442 cumulative GPA, was one of PC's top runner this season. He scored in five of the six cross country races he ran in 1998, including the BIG EAST Championship. At the BIG EAST Championship, he placed 12th and helped the Friars capture their league leading 13th conference crown. In his top race of the season, Bush placed ninth overall and was PC's third finisher at the NCAA Northeast Regional Cross Country Championship in the Bronx, N.Y. He helped the Friars win their second consecutive NCAA Northeast Regional title and earn an automatic bid the NCAA Championship. At the NCAA's, Bush finished 191st and the team placed 10th.
