PROVIDENCE, RI - The Friars fell to Yale this afternoon, 4-0 in a non-conference matchup at Hendricken Field. Three different Yale players scored for the Bulldog victory.
Yale freshman Amanda Walton scored the first two goals to give a 2-0 edge at the half. Junior Sue Barnes recorded the third Yale goal which was assited by senior Lindsay Hobbs. The final goal was scored by sophomore Christine Anthony with 1:37 remaining in the game.
Providence recorded only five shots while Yale tallied 19 shots.
In goal, PC junior Andrea Weyl allowed three goals and eight saves while sophomore Heather Tattersall allowed the final goal and made seven stops. Yale goalie Erica Waples made four saves in her first collegiate start.
