Providence, R.I. - Providence College freshman midfielder Kyle McAuley (Trumbull, Conn.) has been selected to the BIG EAST's All-Rookie Team for the 1999 season. She becomes the first Friar ever selected to the league's All-Rookie team since the league started handing out the awards in 1996.

On the year, the former Trumbull High School standout finished tied for second on the team in scoring with two goals and two assists for six points. She scored the lone goal in the Friars' 1-0 upset win of Villanova on October 15th.
Her second goal came in the Friars 3-1 loss at Brown on November 2nd. McAuley picked up assists in the 4-0 win at Loyola of Chicago and set up the overtime game winner in PC's first win of the season, a 2-1 win against Sacred Heart University on September 13th.
The former high school All-American is the daughter of James and Patricia McAuley of Trumbull, Connecticut.
