Mike Billings began his career in 2015 at Providence College. Currently, he serves as the Senior Assistant Director of Media Relations at PC. He handles the day-to-day communications and publicity efforts for the men's hockey and women’s tennis programs. Billings earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Communications from Framingham State College in 2006 and a Master's in Sports Leadership from Northeastern University in 2012.
Prior to Providence, Billings served as the primary contact for field hockey, women's soccer, women's basketball, women's lacrosse, women's rugby, M/W swimming and diving, M/W tennis, and skiing at Brown University.
Before Brown, Billings spent one year as a Media Relations Assistant at Boston College, serving as the primary contact for the Frozen Four finalist women's hockey team, as well as the men’s and women’s cross country/track, men’s and women’s golf, and softball teams. He assisted in media relations efforts at all home football games as well as the famed Beanpot tournament in February of 2013.
Prior to Boston College, Billings joined the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League in January of 2012 as a Public Relations Intern. At the Sharks, he assisted with game notes, feature stories, hockey operations, stat distribution and player time-on-ice tracking during every home game.
A native of North Grafton, Mass., Billings resides in North Providence, R.I. with his wife, Jenn, and their daughters, Annina and Sofia.
