Anthony Miccolis began at PC in February of 2007 in the office of Institutional Advancement. He joined the Friar Athletic Department in February of 2024 as the Assosciate Athletic Director for Business.
In this role Anthony serves as a member of the executive and senior leadership teams and is responsible for the overall management and strategic leadership of all aspects of the Athletic Department business and finance office, including oversight of financial planning and analysis.
Miccolis ensures that all business office activities comply with NCAA rules, regulations, and reporting requirements. He aids in the negotiation of department contracts, as well as collaborates on the reporting and evaluation of all revenue-generating activities to maximize existing and new opportunities.
Prior to joining Providence College, Miccolis worked for over 10 years in the United State Congress, serving on the staffs of U.S. Representative Joel Hefley (CO), U.S. Senator John H. Chafee (R.I.), and U.S. Senator Lincoln D. Chafee (R.I.).
He is also a former member of the North Kingstown Town Council, having served for six years in elected office, including two years as Council President. Over the years having served on various boards, commissions, and task forces for local and state governments and community organizations, including the Quonset Development Corporation, North Kingstown Charter Review Commission, North Kingstown Asset Management Commission, Washington Country Regional Planning Council, North Kingstown Affordable Housing Task Force, North Kingstown Arts Council, and Ocean State Theatre Company.
He is a graduate of Marymount University with a Bachelor of Arts in Policial Science and of Providence College with a Master of Business Administration.
Micollis is originally from Cranston, R.I. and currently lives in North Kingstown, with wife, Colleen and their two children – Alison Miccolis who is a graduate of Butler University and Amanda Miccolis who is currently a student at Providence College.
