2019-20: Co-captain … recorded two goals and an assist in 32 games played … scored goals against Lake Superior State (12/28) and Vermont (2/14) … added an assist against Northeastern (11/15) … registered 47 shots on goal including a season-high four at Vermont (2/14) … finished career with 48 points on 15 goals and 33 assists in 138 games played.

2018-19: Skated in all 42 games this season… recorded a career high of eight goals, 13 assists, and 80 shots on net… earned 21 points throughout his third season as a Friar … earned a season high of seven shots on goal against Brown (12/29)… scored two goals at Miami (10/12) and at Boston College (3/15)… netted the game-winning goal at Holy Cross (11/03). recorded four multi-point games in 2018-19 ... tied for second on the team with a +19 rating.

2017-18: Appeared in all 40 games … finished the season with three goals, nine assists, and a +5 rating … led the team with 56 blocked shots … registered 62 shots on goal … posted a season-high two points against Boston College (10/27) … netted goals against Boston College (10/15), Merrimack (11/18), and UMass Lowell (2/16) … assisted on game-winning goals against Boston College (10/27) and UMass (11/11).

2016-17 Honors and Awards

  • Hockey East Honor Roll (2/27)

2016-2017: Registered 12 points on two goals and 10 assists in 24 games played … six of his 10 assists came on the power play … boasted three multi-point efforts: Vermont (1/13), Maine (2/4), and UMass (2/24) … scored first collegiate goal vs. Vermont … posted two assists vs. Maine (2/4) … totaled 32 shots on goal and registered a +5 rating.

BEFORE PROVIDENCE: Spent the previous two seasons (2014-16) with the Dubuque Fighting Saints (USHL) ... as a rookie with the Saints in 2014-15, Young notched two goals and eight assists in 48 games before tallying four goals and 18 assists in 2015-16 as the Saints reached the Clark Cup Finals ... Young also competed in the World Junior A Challenge last fall with current teammate Josh Wilkins on the U.S. National Junior Select Team, totaling four assists in five games as Team USA took home the bronze medal with a 7-1 win over Canada East ... prior to Dubuque, Young spent two seasons with Phillips Exeter Academy (Exeter, N.H.) where he totaled four goals and 31 assists in 55 games.
