Providence College Student-Athletes Achieve Academic Success in the Fall Semester

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College Athletic Department, in conjunction with the College's Office of Academic Services, has announced that four student-athletes achieved a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) in the Fall, 2002 semester.

Senior Kate Fuller of Staten Island, N.Y. (women's swimming), junior Carol Geddes of Seekonk, Mass. (women's cross country & track), graduate student Paul Reilly of Loughrea, Ireland (men's indoor and outdoor track) and sophomore Caitlyn Sheehan of Rehoboth, Mass. (softball) achieved the perfect 4.0 mark.

In addition, 65 students were named to the Dean's List and 39 percent of the student-athletes at Providence College earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
