PC To Celebrate National Girls & Women In Sports Day

Women's Basketball To Host St. John's at 7:00 p.m.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- On Wednesday, February 7, 2001 the Providence College Athletic Department in conjunction with PC's Office of Academic Services will help celebrate the 15th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day prior to the women basketball game versus St. John's at 7:00 p.m. at Alumni Hall.

At 1:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. there will a showing of the movie "A Hero for Daisy." ESPN Commentator Robin Roberts says, "This film would inspire any women to stand up for herself and be the women she dreams of." The viewing will take place in the athletic department's video room on the second floor of Alumni Hall.
