Men’s Basketball To Play Syracuse At The Hall of Fame Series At TD Garden

The game will mark the first matchup between the schools since they faced off in BIG EAST play in 2013.
PROVIDENCE, R.I -- It was announced today (June 2) that the Providence College men's basketball team will be participating in the 2026 Hall of Fame Series at TD Garden in Boston, Mass. The Friars will play Syracuse University on Saturday, December 19. The time of the game of will be announced later this summer.
"We are excited to be playing against Syracuse at TD Garden in Boston," Providence College Head Coach Bryan Hodgson said. "It has been 20 years since the Friars played in TD Garden. This is a unique opportunity that will enable us to play an ACC team and a former BIG EAST rival in December. All these factors make the game very appealing and I'm sure this will be a highly anticipated matchup for fans."
The game will mark the first meeting between the schools since they faced off in BIG EAST play on February 20, 2013.
Ticket info for the Hall of Fame Series will be released at a later date.
