PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's hockey earned three selections to the 2025-26 Pro Ambitions Hockey East All-Rookie Team on Wednesday (March 11).
Quinn Mantei (Weyburn, Sask.),
Roger McQueen (Saskatoon, Sask.) and
Jack Parsons (Cortland, N.Y.) were the first Friars named to the All-Rookie Team since 2019 (Jack Dugan). Providence earned three All-Rookie Team selections for the first time in program history.
Mantei led all Hockey East players with a +23 rating in league play this season. He totaled nine points on two goals and seven assists while appearing in all 24 conference games on the blue line for the Friars. His overall +22 rating and 53 blocked shots lead the Friars in those categories this season.
McQueen recorded nine goals and nine assists for 18 points with a +10 rating in league play this season while leading all freshmen with 74 shots on goal. Overall, McQueen finished tied for the Friars' scoring lead this season with 26 points on 11 goals and 15 assists. He registered three game-winning goals and posted six multi-point games.
Parsons was a unanimous All-Rookie Team selection after registering a 12-3-0 record with a 1.88 GAA, .927 save percentage and two shutouts in 15 league games. He was named Hockey East Goaltender of the Month and HCA National Rookie of the Month for January after going 7-0-0, the most wins by an NCAA goaltender in January. Parsons has earned either Hockey East Rookie or Goaltender of the Week honors three times since taking over in net in January. In 17 appearances overall this season, he is 13-3-0 with a 1.94 GAA and .924 save percentage.
