PROVIDENCE, R.I.
 - The NCAA released the Academic Progress Rate (APR) report through the 2023-24 season on Tuesday (May 6). Nine Providence College teams posted perfect multi-year rates of 1,000 - men's ice hockey, men's swimming and diving, men's track, women's basketball, women's cross country, women's ice hockey, women's soccer, women's tennis and women's track.

The women's tennis program posted a perfect rating for the 10th-consecutive year.

Other Providence College teams' APR scores were: softball (996), women's volleyball (992), women's swimming and diving (991), men's lacrosse (989), men's cross country (986), field hockey (985), men's soccer (978) and men's basketball (975).

The minimum APR academic standard for each team is 930. Normal operations are being enforced this year for teams scoring below the 930 benchmark, with strategic penalties that encourage an emphasis and prioritization on academics.

The APR measures eligibility, graduation and retention each term and provides a clear picture of the academic performance for each team in each sport. The most recent APRs are multi-year rates based on scores from the 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 academic years.
