PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College men's basketball has announced today (April 3) that junior Cole Hargrove (Norristown, Pa.) has signed an athletic aid agreement to attend Providence in 2025-26. Â
Hargrove, a 6-8, 250-pound forward, has one season of eligibility remaining. He played the last three seasons at Drexel University (2022-25). In three seasons of action at Drexel, Hargrove played in 67 games and made 33 starts. In 2024-25, he started all 33 games and finished fourth on the team in scoring (328 points/9.9 ppg) and assists (57 assists/1.7 apg). Hargrove also was first on the team in rebounding (247 rebounds/7.5 rpg). His 7.5 rebounds per game ranked sixth in the Colonial Athletic Conference. He shot 58.6 percent from the field (136-232). He also made a team best 61 blocks (1.8 bpg), which ranked third in the CAA. Hargrove recorded five double-doubles and he posted seven games with 15 or more points in 2024-25. He tied his career best with 19 points and added 10 rebounds versus Elon on March 8, 2025.
"We are incredibly excited to add Cole Hargrove and his family to our program," Head Coach Kim English said. "Cole's game continued to improve at Drexel, and he took major leaps this season in his production. Cole's scoring, rebounding and rim protection really excite us. His motor and physicality made him a must have for us this off season."
