MANCHESTER, N.H. – The No. 10 Providence College men's hockey team fell to No. 6 Denver, 5-1, in the NCAA First Round at SNHU Arena in Manchester, N.H. on Friday (March 28).

NOTES
-The Pioneers struck first just 2:25 into the opening period on an unassisted goal from Connor Caponi.
-Denver doubled its lead at 3:17 of the second when Zeev Buium found the back of the net, assisted by Aidan Thompson and Jack Devine.
-On the power play, Sam Harris made it 3-0 at 6:01 of the second, with Thompson and Carter King picking up assists.
-Thompson extended Denver's lead to 4-0 at 3:53 of the third period, with assists from Buium and Samu Salminen.
-At 11:35 of the third, Denver's Garrett Brown received a five-minute major for elbowing. Four seconds into the power play, Austen May (Woodhaven, Mich.) fired a shot into the net to make it 4-1. Logan Will (Ames, Iowa) recorded the lone assist. The goal was May's first of the season.
-The Friars pulled Philip Svedebäck for an extra attacker during the extended power play, but the Pioneers sealed the win with an empty-net goal from King.
