Women’s Track Ranked No. 16 In The Nation

The Friar 3,000 meter runners and mile runners each are ranked in the most recent USTFCCCA NCAA Event Squad Rankings.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. The USTFCCCA released its latest NCAA Division 1 Women's Indoor Track and Field Rating Index on November 4. The Providence College women's track team is ranked No. 16 in the nation. Senior Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand), graduate student Shannon Flockhart (Longstanton, England), graduate student Alex Millard (Kent, England) and freshman Emily Bush (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) are ranked No. 6 in USTFCCCA Event Squad Rankings for the Mile. Also, May, Flockhart, Bush and senior Clair Kelly (Cornwall on Hudson, N.Y.) are ranked No. 15 in the USTFCCCA Event Squad Rankings for the 3,000 meters.
In the Mile, the Friars have an average time of 4:36.20 between the four athletes. May ran a 4:28.33 at the UMass Flagship Invitational on Jan. 12, Flockhart ran a 4:31.71 at the Terrier Classic on Feb. 1, Millard ran a 4:35.52 at the UMass Flagship Invitational on Jan. 12 and Bush ran a 4:49.25 at the UMass Flagship Invitational on Jan. 12.
In the 3,000 meters, the Friars have an average time of 9:18.88. May ran a time of 8:44.73 at the Terrier Classic on Feb. 1, Flockhart ran an 8:45.67 at the BU Opener on Dec. 7, Bush ran a 9:27.29 at the Terrier Classic on Feb. 1 and Kelly ran a 10:17.85 at the UMass Flagship Invitational on Jan. 12.
The Friars will return to action on Feb. 14-15 at the Valentine Invitational at Boston University.
