Women's Basketball To Host Colgate In WNIT Second Round On Monday, March 25 At Alumni Hall

The Friars and Raiders will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. on FloSports.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women's basketball team will host Colgate in the second round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) on Monday, March 25 at Alumni Hall in Providence, R.I. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on FloSports. The Raiders (19-13) defeated UAlbany in the first-round, 64-50, on March 21 in Hamilton, N.Y.
Tickets are $10 and will go on sale Friday, March 22 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets for students are free. Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase their existing seats. Please call the Providence College Athletic Ticket Office at (401) 865-GOPC or visit www.Friars.com/tickets.

Colgate has returned to the postseason for the first time in 20 years with its selection to the WNIT. Their last appearance came in 2004. That year, Colgate won the Patriot League Tournament Championship and earned an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
Three Raiders entered WNIT action averaging double figures in the scoring column, led by Taylor Golembiewski (12.1 ppg).
