PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College's
Zachary Borgiel (Fort Gratiot, Mich.) was named Stop It Goaltending's Hockey East Goaltender of the Week on Monday, November. It was the second time this season that Borgiel has earned the accolade after sharing it with teammate Philip Svedebäck on October 21.
The graduate student posted his third-career shutout, a 43-save performance in Providence's 3-0 win on the road at New Hampshire on Saturday. Eighteen of those saves came on the penalty kill. In three games this season, Borgiel is 2-0-1 with a 1.64 GAA and .952 save percentage.
The No. 11 Friars will face-off against Northeastern in a home-and-home series beginning on Friday (Nov. 8) at Schneider Arena.
