Olsen averaged 9.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots for the Friars last week.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College senior forward Olivia Olsen was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for women's basketball on Nov. 18. It marks her first weekly honor roll appearance of the season and sixth of her career.

The 2024-25 Preseason All-BIG EAST selection averaged 9.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.5 blocked shots last week. She also shot 53-percent from the floor overall (9-17).

Olsen opened the week with eight points on 4-5 shooting at Vermont on Nov. 12 and added six boards, two blocked shots and one steal. On Nov. 17 at Boston College, Olsen recorded her second double-double of the season with 10 points and a career-high 18 rebounds. She also tallied two assists and one blocked shot. Nine of Olsen's 18 boards came off the offensive glass. Additionally, her 18 rebounds are the highest single-game total by a BIG EAST player this season.

Olsen's 18 rebounds were four shy of the program's single-game record set by Britt King '86 against Pittsburgh on Jan. 2, 1985. King hauled in 22 boards to set the mark.

Olsen also reached the 1,000-point milestone vs. Boston College. She achieved the feat with 7:17 left in the fourth quarter on a lay-up from the right block. She is the 38th player in program history to reach the milestone and is now tied for 37th all-time at Providence in career scoring (1,002 points).

Through four games this season, Olsen is averaging 9.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 assist per game.

The Friars return to action on Thursday, Nov. 21 against Dayton. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 p.m. at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio.
