PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College freshman forward
Trevor Connelly (Tustin, Calif.) was named Pro Ambitions Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Monday, November 11. Connelly led all players last week with six points on two goals and four assists.
After recording an assist on Friday against Northeastern, Connelly followed up with a five-point performance on Saturday night in Providence's 6-5 overtime victory. He tallied his first-two NCAA goals, including the winner in overtime and added three assists on the evening. In four games this season, he has posted seven points on two goals and five assists with 18 shots on goal.
The No. 10/9 Friars will travel to UMass for a Thursday night (Nov. 14) matchup at the Mullins Center before concluding the series on Saturday (Nov. 16) at Schneider Arena.
