WORCESTER, Mass. - The Providence College women's swimming & diving team defeated Assumption University, 170-84, in dual meet action on Saturday, Jan. 13. The competition took place at Plourde Recreation Center in Worcester, Mass. The Friars claimed victory in one of two relay events and 10 of 12 individual events on the day.

Courtney Reilly were victorious in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:51.16.

In the individual events, Providence had two multi-event winners.
Abby Tchoukaleff was the top finisher in the 1,000-yard free (11.09.13) and 500-yard free (5:26.41). Gathof swept the butterfly events, taking first in the 200-yard fly (2:10.83) and the 100-yard fly (59.19). Her time in the 100-yard butterfly set a pool record.
