Wildcats claimed a 112-93 win at Taylor Natatorium.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's swimming & diving team hosted BIG EAST foe Villanova on Saturday, Jan. 13 in dual meet action. The meet took place at Taylor Natatorium in Providence, R.I. The Wildcats claimed a 112-93 victory.
 
The Friars teamed up to claim victories in both relay events on the day, which included the 200-meter medley relay and 200-meter freestyle relay. Will Layden had another impressive day in the freestyle events, earning individual victories in the 50-free and 100-free.
 
 A list of the Friars' top finishes is below:
 
200-Meter Medley Relay (SC)
Ryan Sharp, Kevin Hood, Nathan Thayer, McGovern Brown – 1st place – 1:44.98
 
200-Meter Freestyle (SC)
Alex Beauchene – 1st place – 1:56.95
 
50-Meter Freestyle (SC)
Will Layden – 1st place – 24.04
 
100-Meter Freestyle (SC)
Will Layden – 1st place – 52.19
 
200-Meter Freestyle Relay (SC)
Thomas Bowers, Alex Beauchene, Ryan Sharp, Will Layden – 1st place – 1:36.45
 
Providence returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 20 against Holy Cross. The meet will take place at Taylor Natatorium in Providence, R.I.
