Providence College Athletics Holds Event At PJ Clarke’s In New York City

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Providence College Athletic Department held an event in anticipation of the BIG EAST Men's Basketball Tournament on Wednesday, March 8 at PJ Clarke's Sidecar Restaurant in New York, N.Y. The event was hosted by Providence College Alumni, Tom Boyan '85.

The event was attended by 150 alumni and donors of Providence College. Greeting the attendees were the College's President, Reverend Kenneth Sicard, O.P., Athletic Director Steve Napolillo and men's basketball Head Coach Ed Cooley. The event has raised over $500,000 over the last 10 years for the men's basketball program and the athletic department.
 
Providence will enter the BIG EAST Tournament as the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 seed UConn on Thursday, March 9 at Madison Square Garden. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m. ET on FS1.
